Rivers of Europe, RIVE for short, is an international art, civic and educational project that has brought people living on the banks of the Danube together by a series of traveling performances. Valyo was involved in the project by designing the installations on the ship .
The redesigned, superannuated ship drifted from the Black Forest to the Black Sea on the Danube for 40 days, moored in 37 cities, with a total of 52 performances performed by 25 artists. It was possible to participate in workshops and watch performances at the Danube riverside stops. The lectures experimented with the emergence of water quality in high cultures, while also addressing issues of audience-friendly lectures and comprehensibility. The water barrel installations, bubble factory and lamp designed for the boat could be easily rolled from the ship to the shore, these installations could also be seen by the people of Budapest at the Nehru coastal station that year.
